Gen Z’s and Millenials want less screen time, which is why they’re gravitating towards older types of tech. But they love taking pictures - so they’re reviving throwbacks like polaroids, disposables, and chunky 2000's digital cameras to capture the moment without distraction.
At the same time, the flood of AI-generated imagery online has every generation questioning what’s real online.
To meet the moment, we created a new product, the Kodak TrueShot camera, introducing a screen-less, honest way to bring back the Kodak Moment.

In an era of AI-generated everything, the True Shot embeds a digital authenticity signature into every photo. It confirms the moment you captured actually happened. No AI. 100% true.
For the release of the new camera, our social campaign will engage creators to showcase how and when they use the camera, and to promote purchasing the camera.
People who use the camera can then enter their images in a Kodak competition for World Photography Day.
Only images embedded with the True-Shot AI encoding can be entered in the competition.
